Richmond’s underground arteries clogged with grease

Everyone knows that eating grease clogs your arteries, but washing it down the drain can clog the city’s sewers, which is why Richmond is looking to tighten up grease bylaws in residential areas.

Fats, oil and grease (FOG) aren’t allowed to be washed  into sewage systems or drains. Grease flowing into city sewer pipes solidifies as it cools, which causes a cardiac arrest of sorts.
