SALT LAKE CITY — Some Utahns woke up to a spring morning full of snow Thursday.

Snowy roads led to several accidents in Parleys Canyon and a slow drive on I-15 for others.

 I came across an article today that spoke about common problems with older homes and as I also live in an older home I read the article and was baffled with all the dangers that these older homes can cause. According to this article you can have be a victim of these problems and not even be aware of what is going on in your own home. But what caught my attention was this one problem that is very common that most people aren’t aware of and later having to face the consequences. 

One of the most common problem with these older homes are Lead Paint. If your home was painted before 1978 there is major possibly there is lead in the paint.

Lead poisoning is a major problem that can lead to:

  • Failure at school
  • Reduced IQ
  • Kidney Damage
  • Behavioral/Attention problems
